Sam Pink

He was alt lit back in the day but never had bad stuff come out and kept making books and didn't sell out like tao lin did so he's still super cool. he has many books on Lazy Fascist (R. I. P.) and now soft skull and other cool places like Clash Books and 11:11 and his own press now called Thumbs Down. He's still really cool and writes cool small poems and short stories with only one sentence per paragraph and he writes about jobs and homeless ppl and stuff. He writes really DARK stuff but it's also FUNNY and he uses sound effects (sounds dum but its cool I promise!) so his stories and poems are very realistic and funny too. He is from Chicago in the alt lit days but now lives in Detroit.

Big Bruiser Dope Boy

BBDB is very mysterious poet and prose writer from Denver but now he lives somewhere else I think. He is friends with Sam Pink and they are good friends and they hang out. He has two books on Clash and a book on 11:11 and he has lots of stories and excerpts on MuuMuu House which is run by Tao Lin who is the Original Gangsta Alt Lit author. Big bruise Dope Boy is a penname LOL if it isn't obvious and NO ONE KNOWS HIS REAL NAME but maybe Sam Pink does. It would b funny if Sam had to say "Hey Big Bruiser Dope Boy do u want anotehr Michelob?" everytime they hang out. BBDB also runs gay death trance which publishes cool poems mostly about being gay by other people and I think is really cool.

Katarina Giordano

She used to run Philosophical Idiot with B. Diehl and has a book of poems on it and a book on Thirty West which is a novel called The Fountain. Katarina goes by Kat and is really cool. She tweets alot about being self consious in a confessional way and posts on facebook and likes Creed. she has stories and poems on places like Instant Lit and the Neutral Spaces.

Joseph Grantham

Joseph Grantham is married to Ashleigh bryant Phillips and is good friends with old alt lit people liek Gene Morgan and Willis Plummer and Scott McClanahan an also new indie lit people like Buad Smith. He has glasses and a mustache and he doesn't tweet anymore because he thinks tweeting is useless whic is cool but makes it hard to know what he is up to! He lives in Ashland NC with Ashleigh and worked at a pharmacy. He runs the Other Ppl podcast Twitter and also used to work at a book store in Baltimore. He has two books of poems on different presses and stories and poems on places like XRAY and Dark Fucking Wizard. He is cool because he is friends with people from indie lit and alt lit. He also edits the Nervous Breakdown which does poems and book reviews and things for indie lit. His poems can be very small and funny and he writes about funny things but in a different way. He is from California and went to Bennington college.

Dale Brett

AKA Black Zodiac is Austrlaian and has wrtten a book on Expat Press called Faceless in Japan. He posts very cool and weird image based writing and has children and lives in Australia and sometimes Japan. He really likes japanese things and wrotes about them and other stuff too online mostly and in his book. He also edits placwes and has chapbooks too and stories and excerpts on different places. he has a very cool aesthetic Twitter and werites stories that are moody and cool. I think he is cool too and has glasses. He is friends with Elliotte, Manuel, and Shane Jessie Christmas who is also in Australia mostly.

Giacomo Pope

Giacomo Pope is unique because he lives in England and he runs Neutral SPaces which is a website and a blog. He has poems and other websites and he has a PHD in math. He wrote Chainsaw Poems and worte a vook about Zac Smith's book about barns, and Zac Smith wrote a book about Chainsaw Poems. He has a partner named Holly and he has a beard. I like him because his poems are very unique and not about funny stuff as much but still not very Emo even though i like that they are emotional some times. He has poems on Expat press and Back Patio. Ppl on twitter make jokes about how to pronounce his name and I think it is like JOCK A MO. He is friends with pwople like Zac Smith and Cavin Gonzalez and Adam Gnande but I think just because of the internet which is a very Alt lit thing especially today because so many people sometimes meet irl now like Sam pink.

Ashleigh Bryant Phillips

ABP has a book on Triangle House called SLEEPOVERS and it has a lot of reviews so she is the most successful indie lit writer on my website. She is from North carolina and is dating Joseph Grantham and is friends with alot of people. She has stories on many places and she is friends with Bud Smith and has stories in the paris Review like Bud too so maybe soon she will not be so Indie lit anymore and might even be popular! She writes a lot about Woodland North Carolina where she is from and about her Mama. She has a magazine called Instant which is on instagram and she runs with other people. She has good Tweets because she uses lots of exclamation points! I think it is cool that she won the traingle press award and has her book reviewed in places like Goop and other mainstream places because she is indie. She also has an MFA and teaches creative writing which makes her different too. People say she is part of a new cool wave of indie Southern books kind of like Scott McClanahan.

Mallory Smart

Mallory runs Maudlin House and the podcast textual healing and she has a book of poems on Expat Press like many other cool indie lit ppl. Maudlin hosue is a very cool indie lit place that publishes a lot of things by cool indie lit people if u read the rest of the bios here you will see that! Mallory Smart likes coffee and her cats and she is making a book of stories too. She has a cool style and her poems can be very alt lit but also different because she is more indie lit and she has published books like Bud Smith's book and other alt lit people like Michael Seidlinger's book who runs Civil Coping Press. Mallory is funny too and I like her podcast with Andrew.

Cavin Bryce

Cavin b. Gonzalez is from FLORIDA like many other cool indie lit ppl like Blake Middleton and Brian Alan Ellis and others I cant remember right now LOL. Cavin runs Back Patio Press which is a cool website and they make books too like his own book I COULD BE YOUR NEIGHBOR ISN'T THAT HORRIFYING? and other cool books like by indie lit people and other non-indie lit people like Neil Clark (who writes flash fiction). Cavin has a dog and likes Mac Miller a lot LOL! I think he is very cute too! He is friends with a lot of people and he is very funny on Twitter. He has poems and stories on many places too and is very cool.

Anthony Dragonetti

Anthony is a bisexual New Yorker with a book of stories on Expat Press and he runs SLUDGE which is a funny website with cool weird pictures that people send instead of stories. He is very funny on Twotter and he used to run Surfaces with Elliotte but now he stopped that and he says he us working on other books. His stories are sad and they have stuff like sex and violence in them but not in a funny way which is different but still cool but not Emo or w/e. He is very funny on Twitter and Zac Smith put his tweets once in a zine for example. Anthony goes by "Dragondaddy" sometimes, too, although it is not a penname. He is editing Expat 4 which is a lit mag on Expat and one of three editors but he is my favorte of them and the Cutest too (he has long hair).

Elliotte Hrejsa / Mika

Elliotte runs Surfaces now and has cool poems and stuff on the internet. She is really into videogames like COD and other strategy games and has a big following on Tiwtter. She is very outspoken communist and likes guns and her poems are very HYPERVIOLENT and political which is VERY DIFFERENt and soemtimes hard for me to read because I like the funny stuff a lot but she is also funny in a dark way just not in her poems as much. She works at a gun factory once and she has poems in Bad Dog and other places and makes her own websites. She used to go by mika but now goes by Elliotte so sometimes people call her Mika still if you see her old poems. She hates what happened with alt lit and doesn't like the term and this is out of respect why I started this website for Indie Lit instead.

Zac Smith

Zac Smith is the BARN POET. He has a book on Clash Books called Fifty Barn poems and makes a lot of tweets that are funny about his book. People call him "dad" and he is sarcastic in a funny (not mean) way on Twitter. He also writes stories and has them on places like Neutral Spaces and Maudlin House. He writes a blog too and people like it because he writes long posts and reviews books and writes about writing LOL. He is friends with a lot of indie lit people like Giacomo Pope and Big Bruiser Dope Boy and Katarina. He is funny on Twitter in a different way and you can tell he is nice to people sometimes. Many people don't like his barn poems but I think they are very funny and weird and it is funny that he mad e abook of them. People talk about his poems and Sam pink and Joseph Grantham;s poems at the same time sometimes which means he is pretty cool too.

Elizabeth Victoria Aldrich

RUTHLESS LITTLE THINGS! Elizabeth is a cool alt lit style writer who lives in California. She is "alt lit" because she does drugs and writes about relationships and people and is very cool. Even though she is very open about herself on Twitter and her podcast and stories she is also very mysterious. She has stories on places like Expat Press and Selffuck and the Neutral Space blog. She has a book coming out too on Expat Press called Ruthless Litle Things and a podcast. She is friends with people on Expat like bibles and other people. I like that she is very alt lit in a cool way.

Bud Smith

Bud smith is a construction worker from New Jersey and he has a lot of cool books on different places like House of Vlad and Maudlin House and stories in XRAy and Instant and Wohe and Hobart and and AND SO MANY PLACES! He has been around a long time and does poems and stories. He has a story in the Paris Review too and a book on Tyrant Books but it isn't out yet. He also does workshops in his apartment and writes on his phone. His stories are funny but also sad and sincere sometimes and he writes about himself too and is good friends with his editor, Joseph Grantham.

Mike Andrelzcyk

Mike is mysterious and makes funny pun tweets and has poems on some places and also books of poetry on Ghost City Press. He is friends with people like Zac Smith and Cavin Gonzalez and Joshua Sherman. He has poems all over and from a long time ago so he is also kind of alt lit but more quiet and doesn't do funny stunts but he is still very funny and his poems are cool and not very alt lit. He likes to paint and has poems on Wohe, Back Patio, and Neutral Spaces.

Troy James Weavr

Troy James Weaver is in Kansas and he is very depressed and writes very dark sad stories and books.

Homeless

Homeless is from New York and writes poems and books. He has books on Expat and House of Vlad and poems on places like Neutral Space. Homeless also likes to draw which makes him exra cool and he likes pop cultue references like the Simpsons for example. He writes about people like Bukowski too and he is trying to make a movie. He doesn't follow a lot of people on Twitter and he has a book of Poems that will come out on Clash Books in 2022. He doesn't post many pictures of himself but I have seen him and he is pretty cute in a skinny way and has a small beard.

Sophie Jennis

Sophie Jennis has a book on house of Vlad and a book on Blush which is run by ppl like Shy Watson who was a big alt lit writer so Sophie has credentials in indie lit too. Her poems are about weird stuff and don't make a lot of sense but that is what makes her cool and different. She has good fashion too and posts on Twitter about her fashion and sometimes politics and she has poems different places too. She said that she told Cavin Gonzalez that after he rbook came out she felt like she had postpartum depression on twitter once. I think she is cool and is writing more poems even if it is hard for her to finish a book after that one, she should still write them.

Andrew Tran

Andrew has a book on Ghost City Press and stories on places and he does a podcast on Maudlin House. He has a lot of tweets and his stories are very long which makes him different from other indie lit authors who like short stories or as some people say online smallies. Andrew Tran does not write so many smallie ones and he is friends with people and posts funny things sometimes. I am excited for his book!

Bram Riddleburger

Bram makes amny books like Messages from the American Trashcan and he has stories in lots of places online. He writes very midwest American stories and has stories and poems on places like NY Tyrant and Back Patio and Hobart which means he has a lot of fans too like me. His stories can be very short in a cool way which is good and he does a lot of them at the same time so it's like a llot of little stories alla t once. People think he writes under a penname too as someone else but I do not know who it could be but I believe it because he is very prolific and probably has to try new things as someone else sometimes!

Lindsay Lerman

She has a book on Clash called I'm From Nowhere and she has stories and poems in many cool places too like Expat and other cool places. She likes philosophy and knows a lot of philosopher stuff and her tweets can be very sad but not in an emo way. I like her book even though it is not very alt lit and more like a normal book but she is online and has stories and poems in cool places too. She is very smart and I think more people should be smart like her.

MORE TO COME!

There are SO MANY other cool indie lit ppl but these are justs ome of my favorites. You should read them and others and I am always finding new cool ppl to read onlnine becasue there is so many good ones out there now and even some alt lit ppl too who still publish but just not so much alt lit anymore like they used to, for example like Tao Lin and Gene Morgan and others.
